A beef share is a straightforward arrangement. You are buying a portion of a whole animal directly from the ranch, before it goes anywhere near a grocery store or distribution center. Once the animal is processed at a local butcher, you receive vacuum-sealed cuts sorted by type and ready for your freezer. Ground beef, steaks, roasts, short ribs, and more, depending on the size of share you choose.
There are no markups from middlemen, no cold storage mystery, and no uncertainty about where the animal came from or how it was raised. You know it was on this ranch, on this pasture, eating this grass. That's the whole point of buying direct.
Shares are allocated once per year as animals become ready. The timing depends on the animal, not a marketing calendar, which means availability is limited and spots go to returning customers first. If you're new to the ranch, the inquiry form below is how you get in line.

We Raise It Right
Your animal spends its full time on North Idaho pasture, grass-fed and grass-finished from start to finish. No grain, no feedlot time, no adjustments to the timeline to meet a market date. It takes about three years and we won't cut it short.
Pick Up or Arrange Delivery
When your animal is ready, it goes to a local butcher for processing. You receive vacuum-sealed cuts ready for the freezer. We'll coordinate local pickup or regional delivery when the time comes and work with you on cut preferences wherever possible.
We are currently working toward USDA certification, which will allow us to ship individual cuts anywhere in the US. In the meantime, shares are available for local pickup or regional delivery.
